Jennifer Westfeldt Too Much Sun

Later this Spring, Jennifer will be performing opposite Tony Award winner Linda Lavin in the world premiere of Nicky Silver’s Too Much Sun, directed by Mark Brokaw at The Vineyard Theatre Off-Broadway. The piece reunites Silver, Brokaw and Lavin following their acclaimed collaboration on THE LYONS and its subsequent Broadway transfer.

Jennifer plays the character of Kitty, a married school teacher and the daughter of a celebrated stage actress Audrey Langham (played by Lavin), with whom she has always had a dysfunctional relationship.

When Audrey completely unravels onstage during a production of Medea, she descends upon Kitty and her husband Dennis in their tiny summer cottage to regroup. Her arrival sets off a chain of events that are alternately hilarious and harrowing, forcing Kitty — and all of the characters  - to question their relationships, their identities and their futures.

Too Much Sun will begin previews on May 2nd and have its official opening on May 18th at The Vineyard Theatre.
